The Energy Launchpad is a European innovation program designed to turn cutting-edge energy research into venture-scale energy businesses.

The Energy Launchpad has a clear mission: to promote European technologies and start-ups in a way that strengthens economic sovereignty and competitiveness. Spin-offs and start-ups receive support in entering the market and scaling up their ideas. At the same time, joint innovation projects are initiated that bring science and industry closer together. Another key component is the exchange of best practices with the aim of building a strong, Europe-wide ecosystem for energy innovation.

Partners

The Energy Launchpad unites leading universities, start-up ecosystems and energy companies from across the DACH region. Each country is represented by one top university and one leading company: the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and Energie 360° from Switzerland, the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien)  and VERBUND AG from Austria, and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), UnternehmerTUM GmbH and Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) from Germany.

The Energy Launchpad is designed as a growing network. Other partners from science, industry and the European innovation ecosystem are invited to participate and work together to drive forward the energy transition.
